Day 4...A Shirt a Day Brings the Children to Play!

We are almost there…

“Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” Proverbs 22.6 I am happy to say that the mandazis were finished, but those who made them had a rough night. Mandazis are a type of doughnut, and we spent all evening making them. It made for a great breakfast this morning! The day was somewhat uneventful, with most of the children spending it in class. Saying this doesn’t mean that the day wasn’t fun at all, but I think it was more quiet because the facilitators themselves were tired. One of the facilitators wasn’t feeling well, which made it more difficult to stay motivated, but, on the bright side, he is feeling better today!

The blog today is shorter than most because the best part of the day was the sport session, with the student teams participating in a football match.

Before finishing this post, I realized that I have never talked about the food here! Well, for the most part, it is awesome! The children seem to really enjoy it as well. What made today so unforgettable, though, was that the children received shirts, all blue, and I have never seen such bright and jovial faces! They were a beautiful sight to see, as you can tell from the pictures!

Tomorrow is the last day and I hope it ends with a bang!
