Phoebe (Muthoni) Maina
Founder/Executive Director
Phoebe is a self-starter, organized and visionary leader with a passionate belief in children. Growing up in a poor village with limited amenities inspired her to create Dignified Children as a haven for disadvantaged children to share and develop their talents as well as realize their dreams. In 2019 her hard work was recognised when she was presented with the 'Africa Role Model Award' at a side event during the 63rd session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women in New York. Phoebe holds a Bachelor's Degree in Education Arts from Egerton University.

Emily Alexandra Thomas
Co-Founder/Director of Donor Relations
Emily is passionate about post-conflict trauma healing and the reintegration of children displaced by war and genocide and believes strongly that educating children in alternatives to violence is the key to alleviating conflict throughout the world. She holds a Master's Degree in Mediterranean Security Studies from the University of Malta and a Master's Degree in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from George Mason University.

Professor Charles Gachuiri
Chairman of the Board
Prof. Charles works at the University of Nairobi, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Veterinary Medicine, and a Master's Degree in Animal Science. He also holds a PhD in Animal Nutrition from the University of California Davis.

Davide Patelli
Researcher
Davide has strong experience working with children of different ages and in different settings. He is passionate about teaching sports and human rights advocacy. He believes that sport and play are a powerful tool for development, gender equality, empowerment and peace promotion. He studied at the Lausanne University and he holds a Master's Degree in Science, a Federal Diploma in Physical Education and a Hotel Management Diploma. He is also a student of Humanitarian Logistics and Management in Lugano.
