Phoebe Muthoni - Founder
Phoebe is a self-starter and an organized, collaborative leader with a passionate belief in children. Growing up in the village with limited amenities that make childhood memorable, inspired her to create Dignified Children, as a haven for these children to share and develop their talents, as well as realize their dreams. Phoebe holds a Bachelor degree in Education Arts from Egerton University.
Prof. Charles Gachuiri - Chairman
Prof. Charles is a Professor at the University of Nairobi, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. He holds a Bachelor degree in Veterinary Medicine, and a Masters degree in Animal Science. He also holds a PhD in Animal Nutrition from University of California Davis.
Emily Burd-Thomas-Donor Relationship Director/Co-founder
Emily holds a masters (MSc) in Mediterranean Security Studies and a masters (MA) in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from the University of Malta and George Mason University. She was trained by the Mediterranean Academy for Diplomatic Studies (MEDAC) in methods of negotiation, diplomacy, and advanced analysis of conflict, as well as in processes of violence prevention. She is passionate about post-conflict trauma healing and the reintegration of children displaced by war and genocide and believes that educating children in alternatives to violence is the key to alleviating conflict throughout the world.
Davis Muguimi - Board Member
Davis Muguimi is the Corporate Affairs and Resource Mobilization lead at PAC University. He is an expert in extensive training on Partnership Development, Fundraising and Communication. He has the ability to identify key organizational developmental strategies and the ability to build capacities. He has excellent verbal presentations and interpersonal relations skills, as well as extensive understanding of micro-finance operations and procedures.
Davide Patelli - Researcher
Davide studied at the Lausanne University and he holds a Master degree in Science, a Federal Diploma in Physical Education, and a Hotel Management Diploma. He is also a student at the MAS in Humanitarian Logistics and Management in Lugano. He has worked with children of different ages and in different contexts. Davide is passionate about teaching sports and human rights. He believes that sport and play are a powerful tool for development, gender equality, empowerment and peace promotion.
