The first day of the Dignified Children International Camp began with excitement and expectation as we stepped into this year’s theme, “Made for More.” Children were grouped according to their levels Grade 1-3, Grades 4–6, Grades 7–9 and high schoolers allowing each group to engage in age-appropriate sessions designed to inspire growth, confidence and discovery. The atmosphere was full of energy as everyone settled into their spaces, ready for a day of learning and adventure.
Throughout the day, campers participated in a variety of activities that highlighted their talents and potential. The sporting sessions brought teams together through games, challenges and lots of fun, while the talent development sessions opened doors for creativity in music, art, drama and public speaking.
For the older students, career development activities encouraged them to think about their future paths, explore their strengths and understand that they truly are capable of achieving more.
What stood out most on Day 1 was the sense of unity and excitement among the children. They encouraged one another, made new friendships and enjoyed every moment while learning valuable skills. With dedicated facilitators guiding each group, every child felt seen, supported and reminded that they are Made for More. The day closed with joy and anticipation for what the rest of the camp will bring.
